That's a no from me, dawg.. Pros:Game is an improvement over Dirt Rally. The driving is good for the most part, with the exception of the tarmac stages which just don't feel right.Cons:The always online requirement ruins the experience. Racenet is unstable and losing progression is often. The career is lacking. I wish they had carried over some of the career mode aspects from Dirt 4, such as own car liveries, sponsors etc. There is no proper difficulty setting. The AI are either crushingly hard or way to easy there is no way to fine tune the experience to your own performance. This is an even bigger kick in the balls given a difficult slider is clearly present in the game in single races.Damage in career mode is to light, it doesn't appear that the hardcore damage model can be switched on and only used in single races. The small track count means the career gets repetative fast and given you have to grind out the modern cars its just not fun.Summary:A solid driving experience but the rest of the game is missing and what little there is, is barebones and not much fun.. I've been trying to wait until they patch up this game properly before leaving a review, if it weren't the fact that it's been over two months since launch and they have barely patched it at all. I'm disappointed with the post-launch support this game has gotten. The always online career mode does still present problems, various bugs are still present such as audio cutting out and also incorrect call outs for turns. Force feedback has been a topic of debate since launch, and they've been promising fixes but still nothing yet has been seen. The game can be fun, it does properly build off of the success of Dirt Rally 1, more so than Dirt 4. The cars actually handle enjoyably, and the stages flow nicely. AI times are incredibly inconsistent and some car classes and near impossible to enjoy in career mode as a result. Most enjoyable thing is to ignore normal Career and just do the online based rotating challenges, though you may still sometimes get a DNF for an event unfairly if you somehow disconnect from racenet during your run. The actual career mode can get reset, causing you start over again, if their online servers believe you got a different time than you got. I'd love to say that after two months these issues would be resolved but they haven't. They've gotten better after the initial rush died down but it never goes away entirely. This game does have more Rallycross content than other Dirt games, however I do not like the new ultra-aggressive AI behavior. Least fun Rallycross mode in a Codemasters game for me thus far, as a result this is still something that Dirt 4 does better. It's also lacking the alternate track layouts that are found in Dirt 4. Another effective downgrade from Dirt 4 is weather and times of day. Dirt 4 gives lots of customization is creating fun conditions, DR2 removes all of that. Instead the conditions are pre-made. There's usually about only one sunny time to run each track available, and then a rainy version of that. Then it jumps to sunset \/ dusk \/ night. There's no morning runs, and you can't really choose this. Makes it difficult trying to craft a realistic custom championship in a way you think would make sense. What I do like with this entry is that they finally decided to make proper DLC, so at this point you already get the most Rally content these games have ever had. Though it has just been remasters of DR1 stages thus far, it's still welcome as the new physics on these remastered stages make them wildly more different than in DR1, making them feel pretty new and fresh. While I have 182 hours played in this game it might be assumed I'd outright recommend it but due to the persisting issues and the lack of proper support by Codemasters I'll have to go with a negative. I wouldn't actively recommend my friends buy this at this time so I wouldn't really recommend anyone else buy it either, but if you do go in knowing there are issues and who knows when or if they'll get fixed.. Racenet is a scam. Most say, how this is the best Rallye game out there.I disagree.Rallye is when you drive by the notes the co-driver calls. In this game, that is impossible. The co-driver simply calls too many wrong notes. For example:- Shikane right entry - you position the car to the right, and you see the entry is on the left.- 6 left long - and turns out the corner is a 3, and you go off into the trees.- 2 right tightens (blind corner) - you turn in, and smash into the inside wall, because the corner was more a 4.- Keep right over jump - you keep right, and smash into the bushes, as you should have kept left. You cannot trust the co-driver at all. And so you simply cannot go fast enough, until you learn all the tracks inside out.By that point, its not Rallying anymore.-------Ai - The Ai drives the same time in beautiful sunshine, and on misty roads, where yu just cannot see anything from the road (Sweden). Its impossible to keep up. - especially since you cannot trust the co-driver either.-----Rallycorss Ai - The skill of the Ai depends on the track. There are tracks, that you can win easily by multiple seconds\/run, even on hardest difficoulty.(for example: Hell H\u00f6ljes, Trois Rivieres), because the Ai is slower. Then there are tracks, where you just can't keep up with the Ai (same difficoulty). Like Barcelona, and Mettet.I actually regret buying this game... maybe I should get back to pirated games, you just delete them, if you do not like them, and do not have to regret spending the money. For me Dirt Rally 2.0 is worse then Dirt Rally.. I'm going to keep this brief and to the point. The Force Feed Back is limp, barely presents any information and feels like something out of a Ridge Racer Arcade machine. This combined with the overall "feel" to the game gives a massively underwhelming feel to the game. The cars feel lifeless, and with no character, and there's no sense of weight to anything that's going on. I was quick to go for a total refund as this has not been an improvement on the original Dirt Rally, it actually feels like a step back. I will consider buying it again in the future if they rectify and overhaul the limp FFB as the new gravel model is impressive.. really? career mode online only?. Hmmm, where to begin. This title is disappointing and I am currently awaiting a refund after having bought the Deluxe version thinking I want to support Codies in the franchise. I payed an Early Access price for DiRT Rally, and I'm sure MOST of you agree that's probably THE BEST racing title this discipline of motorsport has seen; at least in recent memory. Sure there were no tyre changes between stages and the asphalt handling was a little floaty, but rally. Rally, rally, rally. It was just pure rally. As Fins would say - "No BS!". There was some room for improvement in the Physics and Force Feedback modelling but overall, it had an amazingly strong basis on which to build a sequel. The development of DiRT Rally 2.0 seems to have totally disregarded the apparent community feedback over the last 5 years saying build on DiRT Rally and improve the handling and feel of it, but otherwise it's amazing. The FFB in DiRT Rally 2.0 is vague and in seems to be totally missing vibration. The single prevalent force is centering force leaving the cars feeling kind of spongey and inclined towards center. Applying handbrake let's you get so sideways so easily, but you lose all sense of the car having weight given how quick and easy it is to get out of the slide - it's almost snappy VS being graduated. The feeling / physics / handling (THE areas of opportunity for improvement over DiRT Rally) are a mess in my opinionThe graphics in my view are about on par - they might be a bit more washed out looking but nothing which would be cause not to play. Anyway, if you are going to buy DiRT Rally 2.0 make sure to put a timer on and watch for that 2 hour refund mark. If you were hoping for / expecting an improvement on DiRT Rally like I was, you will likely be seeking a refund as well.. Dirt Rally 2.0? i think its Dirt 4 1.5 - I like it - but for now more cons than prosPros:-Looks quite niceCons:-Where is FFB? You said, now you can feel surface, ruts etc. I feel... nothing. Worse ffb on G25 even DR1 and D4.-ocasional stuttering -polish co drivers sounds very relaxed. He sitting in studio not next to you during driving.-sometimes co drives have huge lag or "mistakes".-online single player. Day 1 review...- FFB is terrible and not finished.- Stuttering bug problem with HID Devices.- Always Online nonsense for single player career mode.- No real quick play. You have to create an event. Just let me pick a stage and car and lets go. Whats wrong with people?
