I was half expecting an advert to pop up about the actual cruise. Also you have like two date options. I dont think you can end up with luke.. With mostly negative reviews I was going into it expecting poor content, but (not entirely) to my surprise I found that I enjoyed this VN. Sure, it had a few flaws, but it was overall quite charming. My only criticism would be about the pricing. I bought it on sale for a little over $2, which I think is a much more reasonable price than the original simply because of the game's length. My favorite part? The artwork--the character artwork is beautiful.. This game is nice example of how to make games... NOT.1. Who needs testers? Just release VN without checking if choices work as they should.Santi has original strategy to take girl to bed. He is talking about ham that is very special, because it comes from pigs that only eat acorns. After that she can choose to either go to bed with him or listen about that ham again... Into infinity. Game creators probably wanted to make choice to go back to ship but instead they made a loop. Main character either wants to bang the most disgusting person you can imagine... or spend rest of her life listening about food.2. Nice soundtrack? Everybody mutes sound anyway... Right?3. Details. Nobody cares about them. Make animation of ship sailing in front of sunset and forget about the fact that it should have shadow. Nobody will notice!4. Minigames! People just love them! Put them everywhere! You don't need real plot if you fill game with the most terrible version of mach 3 minigame! People will go through your 20 minutes long story in 2 hours! Now they can't ask for a refund!5. Story! Anything goes. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad. Just smash head into your keyboard - it will be better than Twilight anyway... Right?Ok - I'm done. I could write more but this game simply doesn't deserve to waste more time on it.Just remember:DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. Thank god this game is getting out of Steam. Nothing truly interesting happens throughout the 1-2 hours it takes to finish it. Lucas is an ok character, but other than that there's nothing there. The love interests are boring as hell, the cruise consists only of partying, swimming and eating (I know it's like that in real life, but please make something happens!), and the weird match-3 minigame brings nothing to the game and is just in the way. I couldn't believe it, but the endings truly are abrupt. They couldn't haved rushed it more even if they tried. I'm just glad I got it at the goodbye discount, but even at that price it's not worth it.. Even though not the intended target group (women) I can safely discuss all the things that are wrong with this from a technical and artistic standpoint.And if women actually like the "love interests" in this game I have to seriously question their mental health.First off, you can now skip cutscenes unlike other reviews say (thank god). Minigame re-do is offscreen (wtf?), log is horribly unusable, everyone uses the same color for talking. Skip button also gets stuck, but at that point I stopped caring about the game altogether anyway.Aside from that there's a weird mix of drawn characters with real-life action vids, photographic backgrounds (including ones with people the drawn ones are placed inmidst, extremely jarring) and does this VN use the 'few hours later', 'a wild night later', 'some drinks later' rather than, you know... describe it like a VN should.Also shouldn't have stopped my IT-studies, it can help you fix telephones, laptops, engines, ships. Minigame is done to death on everything, really stretching the limits of IT (or how often your phone/tablet breaks in 24 hours).Saving the worst for last, Santiago. This rap'ist-would-be that's extremely creepy and you want to get rid of ASAP is FORCED upon you not once, but twice. Sure you can reject him the first time but the game still conviently responds the evening after if you slept with him, and doesn't even gives that leniency the second time when GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE in your mind makes you click "go away" it just re-loops the conversation till you finally sleep with him. HOLY CREEPY SH-IT game. After that, I can't say I really bothered much with this VN anymore, definitely not cool game. Raffle Giveaway! It’s received too many negative reviews and we feel that it truly does hurt our portfolio by having it around. We know that we said that we would attempt a re-write last year but we found that it was simply not economically feasible (it would involve very nearly making a new game and many of those that had bought and played True Lover’s Knot would have never even known about this).
